Turtlegrass is situated in Calabash Bight, Roatán, Bay Islands, Honduras, C.A. We currently have over 400 feet of commercial grade docks, with a combination of side or stern mooring. The slips will accommodate boats of up to 48 ft length and 9 ft draft, and we have one catamaran slip (30' wide). Calabash Bight is one of the best hurricane holes outside of the Rio Dulce but, unlike the Rio, you can fly down and be sailing the same day. There are individually metered 30 amp shore power, WiFi, and we can procure clean diesel at a competitive price, delivered to our dock. We also offer systems service and bottom cleaning for our customers.

- For absentee owners; Air out 3X week, check bilge, 15 point engine check and run engines every two weeks, clean the bottom each month, exterior salt flush each month, inside/outside cleaning before arrival; All for $150 per month
- Engine oil/filter, Fuel filter change; $150 + oil and filter cost. Per engine
- Full detail of vessel exterior, $15 per foot (mono) $20 per foot (cat). Includes cut polish and stainless polish- Topside and deck
- Full detail of vessel interior, $15 per foot (mono) $20 per foot (cat). Includes full detailing of interior spaces, interior lockers and bilge
- Anchor locker cleanout, $50
- Reverse Osmosis water fill ups: $1.5 per 5 gallon container (Potable Water)
- Nightly customers receive free WiFi during stay
- Shipwright and Sail/Canvas maker on site. All in water repairs can be handled on site.
- General mechanical issues, $25 per hour plus parts
- Vessel repairs; re-beding hatches, fiberglass repair etc. $25 per hour plus materials
- Rigging, $30 per hour plus parts
- Vessel painting and re-fit on a contract basis
- Arrangements can be made for haulouts with a local yard
- We offer various other services on an as needed basis
Entry to Calabash
For those cruising the NW Caribbean who find themselves in Roatán, Calabash Bight is a quiet place to anchor and rest. It also happens to be the best hurricane hole on the island! Here's some guidance on navigating the entrance to Calabash Bight::

Lay a course of 320 Deg. Magnetic and you will spot the next marker (Red) and stay in good water on this course.
16 23.743 N 86 20.295 W Approx next to red inner buoy (also leave to starboard but hug close, this marks a cut through a coral patch and is about a 60 foot wide channel 10 to 12 feet deep)
16 23.893 N 86 20.374 W One of the anchorage spots. Once inside you can anchor in several locations up and down the bight by eyeball navigation as water is clear enough to see bottom in shoal areas.
